(2) Selgitustaotlus käesoleva seaduse tähenduses on isiku pöördumine, milles isik: 1) taotleb adressaadilt teavet, mis eeldab adressaadi käsutuses oleva teabe analüüsi, sünteesi või lisateabe kogumist; 2) taotleb käesoleva seaduse §-s 3 sätestatud õigusalase selgituse andmist.

(2) For the purposes of this Act, a request for explanation shall mean an address presented by a person whereby he or she: 1) requests from the addressee information which requires analysis, synthesis of the information possessed by the addressee, or collection of additional information; 2) requests a legal explanation provided for in § 3 of this Act.
