an establishment, for the production of eggs for hatching intended for the production of grandparent stock, parent stock or utility chicks, jõudluskontrolli all olev kari (aretuskari). Eestis pole praktiliselt olemas - kohalik maht liiga väike. Eestis on olemas peamiselt ainult tootmiskarjad.
