piibel
a reference document for writers on a television series containing information on the format, the 'rules' of the show, the characters, episode storylines, sets and locations, etc. (Friedmann & Walker, 2012), a television series' guidebook that compiles the show's past and future characters, settings, themes, and season-long or multi-season story arcs. Each television series maintains a "bible" that is used by its writers for reference, a standard set of guidelines for a television series or soap opera that include character outlines, plot progressions, and elements that can and can’t go into the show.
