A protagonist who has character traits, which are usually associated with the hero archetype, (Griffiths, 2015) has the qualities of nobility and magnanimity expected of traditional heroes, (Baldick, 2001, p. 13) manifesting largeness, dignity, power, or heroism, i.e. hero is not petty, ignominious, passive, clownish, or dishonest (Abrams & Harpham, 2012, p. 15).
